The Ideas Book Club is open to people who are interested in reading and meeting regularly to talk about ideas from a faith perspective. We will read a book about every 6-8 weeks. Books may be selected from the following categories: religion/theology/spirituality, science/technology, philosophy/social science/culture, and politics/economics. Examples of books we have read before include “Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling” by Andy Crouch, and “Alone Together: Why We Expect More From Technology and Less From Each Other” by Sherry Turkle. We will meet monthly on Saturdays from 8-10 a.m. at Phil’s Restaurant, 1520 14th Street SW. We will discuss chapters 8-13 of Richard Rohr's Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life on Saturday, January 14th, 2012, from 8-10 A.M. at Phil's Restaurant, 1520 14th St SW. Anyone is welcome to join us..
