In keeping with the Micah Challenge, Trinity church volunteers for the past number of years have committed to serve one meal a month at the Calgary Drop in Centre.
Of the 15 volunteers who have signed up from Trinity we have 7 who consistently help. Our total group of 33 contacts is augmented by our friends and co-workers.
This act of kindness is serving the supper meal (5:45 - 6:45 p.m.) the third thursday of every month. Contact

The Ideas Book Club is open to people who are interested in reading and meeting regularly to talk about ideas from a faith perspective. We will read a book about every 6-8 weeks. Books may be selected from the following categories: religion/theology/spirituality, science/technology, philosophy/social science/culture, and politics/economics. Examples of books we have read before include “Culture Making: Recovering Our Creative Calling” by Andy Crouch, and “Alone Together: Why We Expect More From Technology and Less From Each Other” by Sherry Turkle. We will meet monthly on Saturdays from 8-10 a.m. at Phil’s Restaurant, 1520 14th Street SW. We will discuss chapters 8-13 of Richard Rohr's Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life on Saturday, January 14th, 2012, from 8-10 A.M. at Phil's Restaurant, 1520 14th St SW. September is the launch Trinity Church's School for Christian Living. This is a Church based Christian Education initiative to equip people in the journey of living, discovering ways to be community, centered and whole. Join us as we explore a variety of topics including, art, culture, sexuality, work, faith, literature, family, philosophy, the bible, economics, and social structure: a very wide scope of topics, formats and interests that lead us back to and on with the idea of living as a follower of Jesus in the here and now, informed by past and present. Course leaders include Trinity pastors, members who have a variety of qualifications and interests as well as visiting speakers and guest lecturers.

We all need time for quiet, reflection and retreat. A wonderful way to ensure this is to book in with us to spend a day out at Kings Fold. The hospitality, beautiful location and food will make you want to return again and again. With Fall creeping up on us remember to put these dates in your day-timer to make sure you get some time out this coming year.

We meet at the Church office at 8.30am and plan to leave Kings Fold at 4.00pm to return to Calgary by 5.00pm. The cost of $30 includes retreat day, lunch and contribution to gas money. Please make payment in cash to Debbie on arrival at the Church office.
